Green Festival 25 May - 2nd June

Saturday 25th May – Sunday 2nd June 2013

This year’s festival (now 22!) will be based on the principle of “One Planet Living”, whilst celebrating PECT’s 20th Birthday!

The Launch

The festival will kick off with a city centre launch on Saturday May 25th, showcasing everything that is fun and exciting about being green. We will be transforming the city centre with living art, food growing, cooking demos, craft fairs and fun and games for all the family.

Eight days of Fun!

Each of the next eight days will centre around one of the One Planet Living principles:

Zero Carbon, Sustainable Water, Zero Waste, Land use and Wildlife, Sustainable Transport, Culture and Community, Local and Sustainable Materials, Equity and Local Economy, Local and Sustainable Food, Health and Happiness.

Bringing together community groups, charities and businesses, events will range from picnics, to pond dipping, to film screenings, to swishes.

How can your company be involved?

  • Sponsor the festival or an event Starting at £1,000 to sponsor an event, or £6,000 to sponsor the whole festival we can build a package to suit your company’s needs, whether they be CSR, staff involvement, or branding.
  • Provide your services for free, or at a discount. We want to shout about the Festival from the rooftops, and need the marketing to shine! You can donate your services – radio, printing, and advertising. Or maybe bring along your entertainment for the Launch Day.
  • Advertise with the Green Festival The Green Festival booklet promotes festival events and is distributed to 17,000 people through hard copies and online downloads. This is a great opportunity to advertise your business!
  • Come along to the Launch Day – we have a number of opportunities to hold a stand at the Launch Day, right in the City Centre.
  • Get your staff involved! Your staff can help run events across the week (and with the 8 themes there is something for everyone!) or get involved on the launch day, stewarding or litter picking.

What’s the return?

  • Being part of one of the largest, and longest running Green Festivals in the UK
  • Opportunity for your staff to get involved in community activities
  • Positive brand alignment, with a charity leading the way in sustainable solutions for the future
  • Raise the profile of your company with the 16,000 members of the public who attend the festival each year!

For more information, or to discuss how you could be involved call Ben Middleton on 01733 866445, or emailben.middleton@pect.org.uk

They fund ground breaking research into heart health across the nation but especially in Cambridgeshire with large sums of money being spent on research projects at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin University. The BHF also fund community heart nurses and provide resources that add value to local groups in your community."
